Present the Project
”Accountability for Improving Corporate Governance”

The Accountability Project being conducted by the Center for Business Ethics and Corporate Governance, a Russian non-governmental organization established on the basis of the “Declaration of Integrity in Business Conduct in Saint-Petersburg”, and by the US-Russia Business Forum, a US non-governmental educational organization dedicated to promoting business trainings in Russia.

Goals and Objectives:
• to improve the current level of corporate governance in joint-stock companies by practical application of provisions of the Russian Corporate Governance Code;
• to detect and overcome problem areas in corporate governance training in joint-stock companies using best practices;
• to render practical assistance to companies interested in improving their reporting on corporate governance in accordance with global market trends and the provisions of the Corporate Governance Code;
• to produce a web page and user-friendly publications that serve as reference tools for company decision-makers and NGOs and other civil society stakeholders monitoring improved corporate governance practices in Russia.
