Eric M. Hart

Eric M. Hart, Chief Financial Officer, Center for Business Ethics and Corporate Governance

Eric Hart has worked on projects in Russia since 1997, beginning with a World Bank-sponsored consultancy at Alfa Bank in 1997-1998.  Mr. Hart was the credit and risk management specialist on this project, and is credited by Alfa Bank President Peter Aven in a letter to the World Bank for playing a key role in saving Alfa Bank during the 1998 banking crisis.  He has done consultancies and workshops in Ekaterinburg and Armenia, and served on the board of Center for Citizen Initiatives, which provided US internships for more than 6000 Russian regional entrepreneurs.

 Mr. Hart has had a 45-year career in commercial and investment banking and finance.  He served as Executive Vice President for two major Philadelphia banks with senior authority for lending activities, risk management, corporate finance, and international trade finance.  He currently is President of Pine Street Financial Group, which specializes in consulting on financial management, governance, risk management, and organizational development.

Mr. Hart is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute (BA).
